No Matt, READ the question, Vietnam was a DRAFT, people had no real choice, Bolton has ADMITTED he didnt want to go as the War was lost, and yet he urges others to fight in what it seems is an increasingly futile war, and why should we give up exposing these sick individuals?

Point taken Phillip L, I only drew the distinction between the two people in the clip, of course there are thugs all around, but Benn has been proven right on so many things he has said

Bolton is just another in a long line of cowards that are part of this administration. Nobody served, but they all love war now. They are trying to compensate for their cowardice.

As someone who served 20 years in the military, from the last 3 years of Nam through the end of Desert Storm, and then retired, I can only say that every situation is different, as is every individual. People who have one opinion as a civilian frequently develop others with time, experience, and a better understanding of the situation. Would you call me morally bankrupt or hypocritical because I do not have the same opinions and beliefs at 52 that I had 15? 47 years, 20 of them on active military duty, and 2 wars change a person. This country is fighting a war to defend human rights and U.S. ideals, that includes the rights of free speech and lawfull opposition to government policy. You should realize that.

John Bolton must only answer for himself. And in each individual instance their will be people who did not live up to thier own retoric. (Al Gore 20 X the electricity as normal person?). The only thing as Americans we should look at is our safety and the safety of the rest of the world. We did not loose the Vietnam war. The people lost respect for our soldiers and thier mission. We won that war and should have Vietnam as a democratic republic.

Just because Tony Benn is a WW2 vet does not make his opinion on anything more valid than anyone else'. I once saw a documentary on the British National Front and they interviewed an RAF vet that said Britain fought on the wrong side in WW2. Is he right too? After all he is a WW2 vet.

Bush and Cheney fall into this category too.

It sickens me - these people are forever advocating war and more war, but make very sure they avoid fighting themselves. Plus none of their family members are ever involved either.

I think there should be a law saying whenever some leader wants to declare war, they themselves have to go and fight. I wonder how many wars there would be in the world then.

Not everyone has what it takes to go to war. You can be a Hawk without volunteering to serve. You people never give up.

Morally bankrupt, maybe. Hypocritical, yes.

It never ceases to amaze me, those who are so in favor of sending US troops to "nuke em," weren't brave enought to put their own lives on the line when they had the chance.

Have you volunteered to be a human shield? If not, shut up and go away.

They are hypocrites. It doesn't bother them to send others to be maimed or killed.
