Diet is the first thing to have in mind: low fat, avoid sugar and low quality carbohydrates-
No matter how big your muscles are, if they are couverd with fat, they will not show.
Exercises: your regular abs exercises. Work upper, lower and lateral abs. You know how; crunches, leg lifts, etc.
Work out2 or 3 times a week, as you would with any other muscles.
Cardio will aid in burning of fat, so take it into consideration.
At least 30 minutes 2 to 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes.
This way, you will get your 6 pack.

Diet is key to getting a six pack, and of course ab execises. You have to treat your abdomen like any other muscle group. Work it out for 30-45 min and give it 24 hours off so the muscles that are torn can grow. just like you would with arms or legs.

plastic surgery is the quickest way to get a six pack but i wouldn't reccomend it.
The BEST way to get a six pack is to change your eating habits. When going for a six pack (not just to "see" your abs).
Six packs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym. However as opposed to just slimming down you NEED to do both to get a six pack.
I would HIGHLY suggest you get used to the glycemic index and more importantly the GLYCEMIC LOAD which is far far more accurate (the glycemic index doesn't measure by regular portion size).
this should get you started on that:
http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm
Next I would strongly suggest you get some NUTRITION books, not diet books. one place to start is Eat Drink and be Healthy, the Harvard Medical School Guide to Healthy Eating, by Walter Willett, M.D.
This is an easier to read version and gives no-nonsense information.
the only drawback is that it doesn't focus on excercise (although it reccomends it) as the goal of the book is to provide good nutrition information not sell a "fad" diet.
Most fad diets are bad for you in the long run but show short term gains like the FAtkins diet- because you will end up gaining the wieght back when you go off it, and if you stay on it you will see detrimental health effects.
Become accoustomed to two types of excercises, these are:
Circuit training and High Intensity Interval Training.
circuit training is where you take a series of excercises run through each one once (at least ten different ones alternating between different body parts) with little rest (10-30 seconds) in between. When you have completed all of these then you have completed one full circuit, do 2-3 circuits your first time then up it. Increase the weight as well after it becomes easy to handle.
This provides a weight workout that boosts your heart rate.
Weight lifting actually provides more of a benefit to pure weight loss than cardio (however you are looking for a six pack you can't skimp on cardio, and cardio has health benefits too that can't be ignored). The reason for this is the phenomnenon known as the "Afterburn".
This means that while you might burn more calories actually doing cardio than lifting, that is the ONLY time you burn calories with cardio. Lifting on the other hand has your body burning calories from that lift up to 48 hours afterwards.
Also the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn.
Why cardio? for your heart, and for a six pack you do need both. The best kind of cardio is HIIT (high intensity interval training) apply it to whatever you do but running will make you slim down more than swimming as swimming tends to make your body keep an extra layer of fat for warmth to keep you from chill in the water.
HIIT is when you alternate periods of sprinting with periods of jogging. start out at one minuite of each then alternate for about 20-30 min. Ideally you should get your sprinting up to twice your "jogging" period. start slow though. 10 min of this will get you more winded than 20-30 minuites of running at a constant speed.
EDIT: avoid all the bs about "ab trimmers" and useless "click" machines, they are garbage. At best they are giving your abs a workout, at worst they are doing nothing.
Which is important to note, just working your abs is NOT going to get you a six pack, so struggling over endless situps might make your abs stronger, but it won't let people see your abs, for that you need to melt away the fat layer surrounding them.
Also doing a proper ab routine that covers your upper and lower abs, obliques, transverse abdominis and lower back will provide you with a stronger core. You need to do MORE THAN ONE AB EXCERCISE TO HIT ALL THESE. Some such as a crunch, can hit multiple ab regions. Not all.

get a sharp knife and carve your abs the way they carve wood to make different things , and give yourself any shape you want.really.that's the quickest way to do what you want to do.
but if you want to do it the healthy way , just eat well and exercise regularly and work your abs and you should be fine.
