Volume of a pipe
=3.14*[diameter^2]/4 * length
=3.14*[(5/12)^2]/4 * 336
=183.17/4 ft^3
=45.7925 ft^3
Now,
1 cubic foot = 6.228 835 485 gallon [UK]
45.792 5 cubic foot = 285.233 948 964 gallon [UK]
1 cubic foot = 6.428 511 624 gallon [US, dry]
45.792 5 cubic foot = 294.377 618 553 gallon [US, dry]
1 cubic foot = 7.480 519 481 gallon [US, liquid]
45.792 5 cubic foot = 342.551 688 312 gallon [US, liquid]

It is cross-sectional area x length to find volume. But you need to be consistant with your units. So:
5*5*3.1416/4 = 19.635 sq inches
19.635 x 336 x 12 = 79168.32 cu in
79168.32 / 231 = 342.72 gallons

The volume is 45.815 cubic feet, so the water would weigh 2860 lbs avoirdupois. In the UK, that's 286 imperial gallons, but a US gallon is different.

Well, you have length and circumference of a pipe - so you can calculate the volume. It's a cylinder.
Then all you have to do is convert cubic inches to gallons.

5/12=0.4167 (dia ) .4167/2=0.2083(rad)
3.14x(.2083 x .2083)=0.136(area in sf)
.0136 x 336=45.79 (cu.ft.)
45.79 x 7.49(gal/cu.ft)=343 gal
