Innova Dog Food: Is it a great brand for my 3 month old Shepard/Rott mixed pups?

Innova is probably the best brand out there. Good job doing your research. HOWEVER, you do not want to feed him Innova EVO just yet. You will want to wait until he is a bit older, because it can make puppies grow to quickly for their bone structure. They have Innova Puppy Food, make sure you get that until he is about 1 year old, then you can switch to EVO.

EVO is what puppies should be eating because it's got the highest calorie content. I fed that to both my nursing mother and the puppies, it seemed to work well. You should be careful if your dog will get to over 50 lbs because Innova will make your puppy grow too fast which could lead to some other health problems down the road. You also have to consider something else, you said your dog was part rott. Many vets think high protein food leads to increased aggression in dogs. I've seen mixed information. I had a greyhound that ate the large breed formula & he did suffer from increased aggression, maybe it wasn't related, but soon after he started eating Innova he started chasing after small critters and wound up killing a cat & hurting my other dog (something he'd NEVER done before).

Walk your dogs at the very least 1 hour a day. My ESS will be 1 year old next Wednesday and I have him on my Treadmill for a 1/2 hour a day besides the 2 - 45 minute walks we take. He loves the Treadmill and when he's done he gets a drink of water and is ready for bed. Great way to exercise your dog.

Yes it is a good food. It is definately in the top three brands in the world right now. I switched my dogs over to Orijen brand food. It is even better.
