High fiber when combined with lean protein allows your body to slowly process the protein, making you feel full longer. Yeah, you'll poop more, but when fiber is combined with protein you should be able to go longer between meals. You could lose some pounds or maintain a healthy weight, even if you occasionally splurge by combining lean protein with high fiber. A bunch of romain with a small piece of salmon/chicken and you're good for several hours. A huge plate of broccoli with some skinless chicken will do the trick, too.

I have the same thing happen to me, I have had to regulate my fiber intake in order to avoid that problem. I was eating 4 big pieces of celery a day and cereal and it was just to much, I had to cut back and watch what I eat.
Hope you find the happy medium.

When you were an infant, everytime you ate, you went moved your bowels. Especially if you were nursed, a food that is made especially for you. When you add fiber, you return your body to operating the way it's supposed to. At least one bowel movement a day is normal. Note I said at least.

If you normally only evacuate your bowels every other day then yes, that's closer to regular. Think about it. You eat 3 meals/day you should have a BM at least once/day.
