I think you should wipe that number off your phone and buy her a huge bouquet of flowers and declare your undying devotion.

Tell her that if you had something to hide you would not have been letting her play with your cell phone. Then delete the number in front of her or have her do it. Tell her the truth, that you haven't changed your cell phone numbers in a long time and hadn't thought of deleting your ex's number. Then tell her that you'd like to have another special night to make up for the anniversary night. Good Luck.
P.S.- I think I would have been hurt too by finding the number, most girls would, but if you stay honest with her and don't do anything that you would need to hide, then things should work out.

As long as u havn't been calling the ex then u did nothing wrong. A lot of people don't mess with their contacts lists on their phones. You pretty much know all the #'s by then, right? If you explained that to her and she still got mad, then u got yourself a spoiled brat of a gf and she needs to chill out. You did nothing wrong, man. Sorry about the screwed plans, also.

Well she obviously feels jealous that you have ur exs number on ur phone, and this is has made her angry which is why shes in a mood! But it also shows that she really does care about you and sees ur exes number as a threat, even tho it isnt. Maybe u shud wait for her to calm down a bit then reassure her that shes the only girl for you and you want to be with her and no one else. Just let her know you care about her and dont let this mess up ur great times together. Also delete your exs number from ur phone! Hope it works out for you x x

You know what it is normal to be jealous. Nobody likes feeling jealous its an uncomfortable feeling so i think you should explain that there was no specific reason for you ex to be still in your contacts. Tell her that you don't need her number and you don't even want it and just erase it. Be sensitive to her. I have a boyfriend and he gets jealous quite often. I just give him whats he wants. I think everyone has the right to be a little jealous of an ex because most of the time people cheat on there partners its with an ex. Just a little advice. Think about how you would feel in her shoes.

Well, it might of been an oversight on your part, but apparently it hurt your girlfriend's feelings. And she has every right to her feelings as you do too. With that said, she might of over reacted, but remember some women are very emotional especially if they feel insecure in a relationship and she might be feeling that way.
If I were you, I would delete the number and/or change your ex's name on your phone to a derogatory name just so you know not to answer that call.
As for making amends, I would definitely tell her that it was an oversight on your part, have her be a part of either deleting or changing the name like I said before. I would try to do something romantic, like sending flowers to her work with a simple note of "I'm sorry" or "You're always on my mind" and/or make her a bubble bath with only candles for lighting and offer to wash her back.

Women like clear straight forward explanations. I suggest not to react in a negative manner. Try explaining to her that you rarely change the numbers in your phone, and that you didn't keep that number because you still liked your ex. Tell her that if it will make her happy, you'll erase it. Patch things up so that all your plans won't got to waste. Hope this helps.

I would have been mad too, I don't think for a second you would be too happy if she still had her ex cell phone number. But I understand sometimes you guys don't remember to delete certain things from your phone, but still you shouldn't have had it in there. I see all these guys answering you saying it's no problem...thats why they don't have anyone

It shouldn't matter to her that you have your ex's cell number on your phone. Just because you aren't dating any more doesn't mean that you can never talk to her again. Sounds like your girlfriend is a little insecure. Tell her that you wouldn't expect her to delete her old boyfriend's number just because they aren't dating any more. You guys can certainly be friends with your former partners.

Well buy her some flowers, take her out, talk to her and tell her what you just told us. That you didn't change a single contact from your phone and tell her how much you love her. Tell her how she makes you feel, how you feel or think about her.
Maker her feel special. And talk it through with her, camly, even if she raises her voice.
She'll slowly calm down when you don't yell back or raise your voice.
Goodluck!

She should have accepted your answer and moved on. Delete the number and dont give her anything more to complain about. If she is still being a ****** about it then leave her. I know a guy who was made to throw out his mattress because his girl wasnt happy that he slept with another girl in the bed. We need to cut the drama down to human levels here people!
