I get some info from the media, some from a college course I took, and some from the Qu'ran.

I have read several Islam sites, looks allot like Judaism and Christianity to me. The big difference appears to be that a small group of Muslims are running around killing innocent people in the name of Allah. That is a bit scary to those of us who enjoy freedom and life.

When someone is willing to kill themselves and children in the name of religion, it tends to get our attention, and makes us a bit skittish. Then the misinformation that worries you will go away. Your actions will prove that Islam is a religion of peace. Fighting against the impression of the Western world or the misinformation provided by the press wont change the fact that people are blowing themselves up in the name of Islam.

Unfortunately, these people have made life a lot more difficult for those of you who are peaceful. Honestly, every time I get on a plane, I do a spot check for people of middle eastern decent, so that I know where you are sitting, just in case I have to gouge an eye out in an emergency. I know this is not proper, but it is natural given that the middle east seems to be where a majority of the terror is coming from.

It is up to you and the rest of the peaceful Muslims of the world to depose these idiots and make sure they cannot claim your belief system as their own.

I know the real Islam and that is why, I as a proud born and raised American became a Muslim this past January.

Even after the news of 9/11, I knew that not all Muslims were terrorists. I was a teenager when that happened and I had more common sense than adults.

I know have a wonderful Muslim boyfriend and he treats me like a queen. He told me all about rights for women in Islam and I have checked this myself. It's a wonderful religion and I'm very glad that I found it.

I don't let the media teach me anything as it is about 50% BS. However I have spoken to Muslims who have tried to convert me, but also have helped me to understand Islam a little better.

What I learned is that Islam is a severely misguided religion.
God can not be proven logically.
God can not be figured out.
God doesn't want little children being blown up by suicide bombers.
And those who do are going to hell.

I know Islam because I live it. My husband is Muslim and we live in his native country. I see firsthand how real Muslims are, how they feel about world events, and how peaceful and loving they really are. Before I met and married my husband I heard what the media had to say but was wise enough to do my own research.

From the Media. T.V. images, magazines, books (koran), newspapers, etc. Are you saying the media has staged all of the death that Islam has caused. Perhaps we can ask the media to reverse their reporting and all of the death will be reversed and we can love the people of islam.

I am a Muslim and couldn't be prouder. I got all of my information from reliable sources and I know what a beautiful religion it really is. Words can't bring me down. Apparantly those who answered this before me, don't really know what Islam is. If they did, nobody would say anything stupid.

Actually I went and looked at a few websites that aren't meant for westerners. They scare the crap out of me way more than the media.
