Yesterday, Miss Kitty brought me a mole to look at. Little thing was still alive, but died within a couple of minutes.

She thinks she's bringing home the bacon, lol. We've always had cats. When my children were young, I walked into the dining room and there was a stuffed animal on the floor (so I thought) so I picked it up and it was a squirrel with no head. I screamed, dropped it and put a box over it until my husband came home. Another time one of my kitties brought in a rat, not dead, either. It drug itself around until it died...with me freaking out in the meantime, couldn't touch it. Gotta love those kitties, they love to share.

Miss Kitty just wants you to be proud of her. She is actually bringing the kill to you so you can share....I know that sounds crazy but, all animals relate back to their 'wild side' if you will. If you had just recently fed Miss Kitty she was full and wanted to bring the kill to you....My cat used to do that all the time.

Miss Kitty is showing homage to her mother and giving her mother a token of her appreciation. It's basically the cats equivalent of making that ugly ashtray in art class that they're very excited about and want it on display because they're so proud of it. It also makes Miss Kitty feel useful and good about herself.

The reason is very cute but very gross!! She brings you a present (and there will be many more to come), but the gross part is.......she expects you to kill it! So, the moment you jump up screaming and yelling, your kittie is offended! So, good luck with your next present (they tend to get bigger) and act as if you are very happy with your dying "food".

Bandit has been kind enough to bring me a mouse and a couple of birds. Fortunately, he has a soft mouth and they were not hurt. Now I keep the pet door closed. His generosity is just too predictable.

Ah yes, very common trait of cats. Miss Kitty is offering her kill to you just as you offer her food and feed her. She just wants to share as you share with her.

Oh boy, presents! =)

My Blackberrie used to bring me lots of rat parts, usually its head. I suppose he did it that way so I would have no doubt of what befell the critter?

My brother's Miss Kitty likes to bring them to us alive. You can see how proud she is of herself- she likes to play with them as she delivers them so we can see how fresh they are. ("Yes Kitty, he's still wriggling. Good Girl. Yuck!")

Even my baby Jack (who is completely indoors) calls me so I can witness him slaying spiders, gnats, moths, and whatever else has the misfortune to crawl inside. I guess he does it because his prey is too small for him to bring a trophy.

Fun stuff. =)

The cat does not want to get in trouble so just look at it and tell the cat that it is ok. she probably just thinks you will be mad. It is just a gift, do you not like it!?lol

She loves you and proud to show her gifts to you.
I know its horrible to see her gift.
Sometime she can bring really strange one, like a snake.!!
So be careful.!!
Tell her that you appreciate her gifts but not to bring them home.
As soon as she brings in you tell her or show her to bring it out or in the bin and to throw out into the trash immediately.
In time she will get the message.
Hope this help...
Good Luck !!!

Haha no it's not for approval, she's giving you a present.
She loves you and to show her gratitude she's bringing you dead animals, it's what cats do.
