I want to use if(a1<>"",today(), but i want the date should not change to the today's date

I want it should stay at the date when a1 is entered Please help me with this Thanks

Can't be done without a macro. And then the macro would have put in the date when A1 was updated and it would have to be stored in a cell somewhere.

By the way, don't think this is the type of Dating that the topic is meant to cover. Try Home > Computers & Internet > Programming & Design.
