Try to do relaxing thing before bed......do not do lots of excercise before bed as it will hyper you up, but you could try some at 6 o clock to tire you a little. Talk to your parents/gaurdain and they can tell your doctor, or use lavender propducts and aromathereapy to relax you more. Good luck hunni, my friend has the same problem but wont say anything to her parents; but i hope you will !!!! It can also be due to stress. so if you are stressed then dont be love!!!

Exercising, not eating for several hours before bed, a warm bath and reading can all help some, but there are many people who just are night owls and not morning persons. It could be there's some other problem like stress keeping you up -I hope that's all, because it's easier to fix- but more and more studies show that 'night owls' really exist and that it's a quite common, probably genetic or at least very deep ingrained thing rather than just laziness or a bad habit as many people used to believe. Just recently a (Dutch) paper ran a long article on how productiveness at work would go up greatly when people would be allowed to come in at a later time rather than be forced to start at 9am, for many people keep struggling with this all their lives. Sorry it's not really helpful but it may still make you feel better you're not alone and it's not your fault for being lazy!

ok heres the truth
i had the same problem but then i started taking 1 benadryl (in your case) 30 minutes to an hour before bed. (Talk to your parents first). Benadryll is used for allergies but it makes it you really really tired! We give this to kids at camp who cant go to sleep. It doesnt have any bad side effects!
WORST thing you can do is exercise before bed ! It makes your heart beat fast and wakes you up more
BEST OF LUCK

My sibling has the same problem. Try excersising, to get your mind off of things. Maybe like go running, it helps sleep at night. Or try drinking hot tea, or taking a nice long bath before bed. Hope that helps :D

Exercise before bed. Wear your body out. Make yourself really tired. Also that will make you healthy.
If that doesn't work still, then maybe it's because you have some stress keeping you awake, maybe some things are on your mind... school or something. Ask your parents to go to your doctor with you and find a solution.

Try melatonin. It's a homeopathic supplement which can help with sleep problems. I use it and it works wonders. But you are only 12 you shouldn't be having these problems. I would consider seeing a GP first.

my wife suffers badly with sleep problems. after trying many medications she found a herbal remedy in tablet form made by cenovis. called easysleep, valerian 2ooo. each capsule contains valeriana officinalis(valerian extract equivilent to dry root). she doesnt get any side effects from this and is not tired the next day. she got this from the local supermarket here in australia.

write down how u feel at night, before you go to bed. Put all your worries down on paper, and put it away out of sight. Put anything that may distract you away. If you have a telly in your room, watch some of that, ot concentrating like loads on it, but just like looking, it makes you feel drowsy. Also put lavender bags near your bed, as lavender makes you drousy!!

Try a tea called Celestial seasonings, SleepyTime Tea. Found at all grocery stores. When I was younger it knocked me out!
