I really want to know, I am Pagan, Wiccan. I want to know what the christians problem is with people who choice to follow the path of the old religion. If ANY of them did any real research they would learn Pagainism was around LONG before christianity was ever thought of. We are peaceful people in harmony with the earth, we DO NOT preach or force our faith on anyone, as we belive all choice there own path in life.

see i have respect for each person and there right to there faith. I don't condem them for what the belive. but I have also done my reserch, the roots of paganism run deep and are sevral thousand years OLDER than christianity. We have faith in the great deity both male and female as we belive in balance.

one last thing, I challange any one of you to do some reaserch into other faiths, just for say historical sake. I have studied most of them, including christianity, was raised JW, been to Catholic school, looked into all differant faiths as i wanted what felt right to me, not just to accept what every preacher, or priest said. Reading is a good thing, it opens your mind. Please try to be more open minded.
May the Goddess Bless you

Christ was a good man and a teacher, I am not disputing that, however what did people belive BEFORE that time. I can find proof of my faith dating back to caveman. As far as when I die, I go to Summerland, rest and reflect on the life i just lived and the lessons I learned, then my soul returns for the next life when I chose, as what I chose. I too have REV to palce before my name, as i am ordained I just happen to be on a differant path than you.

Hi moonmist, I share your sentiments really I do.
I am a Christian and I feel that Christians should be more conservative when sharing their friend in Jesus Christ.
Not every body wants to hear about Jesus and Christianity.
We as Christians should become more open minded about every bodies faith and be more sensitive to people who don't believe the same way as we believe.
We should also stop trying to convert people, if people want to be converted they will seek the kingdom of heaven on their own.
God gave us the right to choose and by forcing opinions on to people Christians are diminishing the right to choose.

Christians are followers of Christ and who was Christ??? once you can answer that you will realize that no religion has been around longer. but to not just dodge you're question. One thing may be does you're belief give you the gift of salvation??? what does being a witch do for you after you're dead??? I personally don't think we should be beating up on any one regardless of there beliefs, but we are co missioned to bring the Gospel(good news) to all we see and the good news is we have been given authority over all things on earth.

You are right, Pagan religion was around before Christianity. This does not make it the truth. Worship of mother earth was talked about in the old test. along with Witch craft which was both forbidden by God along with mediums and astrology, all very old practices.
But Christianity is based on Judaism which was the first religion.
You say we put down your religion. I say we tell you the truth so you may be saved. If we didn't care we wouldn't say a word. I do care. God has commanded us Christians to preach the gospel to the world so they may be saved. God loves you and wants YOU saved. So if you are drowning and I don't toss you a life preserver am I guilty of your death by not helping you?
God bless you dear. We preach because we care. God loves you.

Don't you think you just took a stab at ALL Christians with your question? Stop generalizing. It makes you guilty of what you accuse others of doing. Just because pagan beliefs are old does not validate them, but you are free to worship whatever you want. I only have a problem with islam because it lies about God, Jesus and The Holy Bible.
May God Bless you.

My hometown is full of wiccans, or at least kids who say they are, and I've found a lot more people bashing Christians and Christianity than the other way around.
Right now I'm in Philly going to school, and I find the same here.

The earth is gonna go down in flames. You can be in harmony with it all you want, but I just want to help you get off of it alive. I don't think any of us mean to hurt anyone's feelings. But none of us want to stand idly by while so many people "choose their own path" to destruction.

Yep. A lot of (conservative, evangelical) Christians don't seem to understand that their bullying and bigotry just drive people away. Even some of their fellow Christians. Looking at some of the remarks made about Islam and other faiths on this site, I am ashamed to be a Christian. The ignorance and complacency is horrific.

Christians believe that god meant for them to 'share' their ways. Unfortunately they don't realise that 'sharing' is not forcing it down people's throats and telling them they're going to burn in hell because they're not christian. The bible wasn't even written as a true re-telling of events. Yet,often they seem to take it that way, as if it is true.

We dont... maybe because we're more vocal and that intemidates some people. But we are like any other group of believers... we all believe that what we believe is right... just as atheists do! Atheists call God names and call believers stupid and uneducated and promote evolution all day long... why are we the target?

Sorry, but your question leads me to believe you are not convinced your right.
As a follower of Jesus, he told us to go and make disciples.
To do that we must find those "sheep" of his WHO are willing to be taught.
I.m here now with a link to the truth.........You cannot change what has been done, and if you are the meek mild person you claim to be, you will be interested........If not, excuse me.
I have sheep to find.
