yes, they bark although some of them are more thoughtful about using their voice than others.

I have a Border Collie mix and she will bark at anything the UPS truck as it passes our house, my dad when he pulls up the driveway after work, other dogs that are outside the Invisible Fence, friends/family that she has not seen in a while. So, yes, they do bark.

They do bark, but when I first got my border collie/ Aussie I didn't hear her bark until she was around 11 or 12 weeks. It is a little strange because my German shepherd shepherd mix was barking from the time we got her around 7 weeks.

We had a border collie for 15 years and the only time she would really bark was if some one came to the house. She was announcing to every one that some one was here. Border collies are very protective animals and very caring.

savor the moment, we have a full bred border collie that we adopted from the a.sp.c.a and as i sit here telling u of how they can bark, my girl is BARKING AWAY cause she wants my attention, but give it time your puppy is still fairly young, they r definitely barker and yelpers, i often laugh when people talk about security systems in their homes, (you'll eventually be glad too for the barking) she is the best security u can get and only costs u food water love attention walks hugs and play-time GOOD LUCK the barking will soon begin

Yes, they actually love to bark. A few years ago we had a border collloie, and she loved to run and bark. Maybe yours is still getting used to everything.

Mine does on rare occasion. I have a 5 year old female who has just had 6 puppies. I think they take the lead from other dogs. My border never barked until she heard my beagle carrying on. Now she follows suit. I really wish she wouldn't because her bark is really loud.

I have a border collie and she rarely barks. She does talk some, but that is all the noise she makes.

Of course they bark! My little brother had one and we thought his voicebox had been removed but about a week later we couldn't get him to shut up. Just give her time.
