I have a cat that is almost 12 years old (Tiger). She was always so nice and loved everyone! Four years ago I got a kitten at a cat rescue . Tiger has all of these different moods now. Sometimes she is so nice and purrs, but then she growls scratches and hisses at me. But if I take her into the bathroom she is very nice! Is there any way I can get her to be nice all of the time? Our is she like this since she's an older cat?

Sounds like the other kitten has made your cat upset. Cats are territorial, too and it's really important to ALWAYS show Tiger she's still #1. She views kitty as a threat, especially whenever kitty gets attention. (That's what it looks like you'd said - there's a kitten AND your cat). Give Tiger lots of love... I celebrated my 37th birthday yesterday without my cat, "Kato" who died from a stroke. : (

The older cat saw you as its only owner and when you got the kitten that put a buffer between you and the older cat. The older cat now feels left out and now she is jealous of the kitten and she does not want anything to do with you. I have had that same problem before. I got a cat that I have had since she was a kitten and when I got another kitten I could not go near her. She would scratch me and hiss. When I would get home they would be either at the end of the couch together sleeping or they would be at either end of the couch sleeping. It will take time but if I were you I would take the older cat in a room just with you and give the older cat attention without the smell of the kitten on you so she can't smell the kittens smell on you. Give the older cat attention for awhile . I have that problem right now with my cat I have now but it is with a dog and a cat. My cat will go under the bed and sleep all day. My cat pouts when she does not get her way. Animals have feelings like people do. My cat will even will have tears in her eyes if I give the dog more attention then her.

She may be sick but she may just be old and crabby.Get her checked out by her vet and if she is ok,just love her! My cat is almost 14 and is also moody.I give her all my love anyway. She is a great cat despite her moods.

There may be a medical issue going on so the best answer is to take her to the vet. At this age alot of medical problems can occur so when they become moody it is a sign that something is going on and needs attention.

She likes the bathroom? Keep making her mad and she will be craping in your bathtub. I had a cat that did that once when I brought a new puppy home.
I would take the kitty out back and teach her a lesson.
Personally I would have her put to sleep, cause cats are nasty. Anything that craps in a box and then scratches around in it and then jumps up on your kitchen counter with shatty paws is NASTY.

Cat's are mostly single celled creatures living in the human blood stream. They're also carnivorous and can cause great harm to the human host. If left untreated, they can cause blindness, AIDs and that bloated feeling you get after eating too much cheese. It's better just to drop your cat off at the Old Pussy's Home.

You must beat the cat with a hammer anytime he hisses. Draw blood if possible
