this is something that happen to me a few times, like the other day i was at a mall with my uncle and i saw these two girls, and i stopped to ask them a question, but they didnt know what my question was going to be so they start acting like they in a hurry because they thought i was gonna try to holla them or something, but then i ask them where is "Target located at this mall ?" then guess what !!!, they started to calm down not hurrying no more and took their time to explain to me where the Target store is and how to get to it.
The point is, why did they change their mood as soon as they realize i didnt stop them to holla them but just to ask a direction. and i can even bet that after i ask them the direction, they would've opened up for me to talk to them about holla at them. " a LOT of girls do them SAME EXACT thing to diffrent guys why ?????

Because we are over protective!
When someone approach to us(not just guys, girls too), our first Thought is: Who ta' hell does this one wants from me??? I don't know you!! Don't you see I'm busy with my thoughts!!!
Well...almost every women thinks like this...unless you are super gorgeous and have a great butt... lol... then we think: hmmm...yummy...delicious!!
We are not so open to social talk and meeting strangers!
Unless that's our purpose like going out to a bar to pick up!!!

You sound young so here it is. Because they do their hair, dress sexy and proacotive, act like their always in a club, put on nice perfume then act shocked and offended if they are approached by guys, thats just a life lesson and it DOES get better as you get older as all people tend to mature. Also it is insecurity as many young "players" use the same old played out lines and also think they are the last coke in the desert.

I think it all depends on what girls you are asking. Are you going towards the ones your age who are good looking? Or are you going to the middle aged mom of 3? I get hit on way to much by scum guys. I tend to just walk away, I am not interested I have a boyfriend. I think its in our mind that, its just another guy wanting my phone number. However it's rare that a guy asks me for directions. Sorry that we do act like this, but its because we get hit on way to much and we get sick of it. So that is why we blow you off when you approach us about directions.

i understand. If the guy hit the lady first it fairly is undesirable, beat his butt. If the lady hit the guy first....eh.
