Sex is very broad depending who you ask.
For some it is any act of copulation ie: physical penetration of an orrifice (vaginal or anal penetration) by another person.
But for some Oral activity (cunnulingus and felatio) is also considered sex. Most people would probably agree oral sex is also considered Sex
The most simple and basic basic answer is Sex is when two people perform copulation, with the man penetrationg the womans vagina with his penis.

Well Sex has many connotations. It could tell you the gender of a person....... as in male/ female.
But if you are referring to the act of love making......... it is a basic human instinct.
