Call the Jury people immediately and inform them that you will be out of the country on the date they asked you to report for Jury Duty.
And be as respectful as possible!
That should normally take care of it.

Don't wait another minute. Call the agency that sent you the notice. let them know of the trip that has already been planned, paid for and you have the tickets. They may need to see them, but that is a legal excuse to get out of jury duty...temporarily.

You need to call the Court Sectary and explain to them that you will not be in town on that day.You need to do this when you receive the Jury summons. They will consult the Judge to ask if you can be exempted from jury duty for that date.

Call the court clerk and ask for a deferment. In most places, they're available for the asking, and you'll get called at a later date.

Just call in a request to have the date changed. They may ask to see a copy of your itinerary, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting the change.
