Yes it will. I found this out the hard way. Dont have them check your credit until you have decided on your purchase instead of letting all of them do it!

No, this is whats called a soft pull. When your application is sent to a bank, that is a hard pull, this is what brings your credit score down.

Now, if the dealers you are going to are submitting you to banks? Then you could have several hard pulls in a few days and this will lower your score.

I have actually seen banks decline people that should be able to buy because they have had to many inquiries in a short period of time.

Yes...it will.

If they don't..it won't.

It's never a good idea even to give them your social security number at the start..because many pull it right then. Window shopping is ok..just don't give them all your SS number.
