There are a lot of Christian friends I've made from yahoo answers and they are awesome when they answer,
but some Christians just spew forth filth, useing the psychological warfare tactic of "hell", and even one called me "you people".
"you people" - even thou its 2007 I don't like being called "you people"
I used to always say lets not divide up the categories but I'm thinking "you people" need to go somewhere else and leave the rest of us here.
Go away and please, just please,
I don't believe in Jesus, don't answer my questions if you do. (With the exception of the 5 or 6 persons who know me and don't play that game of "you people" or "hell" on me)

Sean...I really do not mind being in the mixed salad. I get tired of some of the same old answers from Christians but also from others. I wish we discussed more and bashed less...I wish we laughed a little more. I would be thrown out of a strictly conservative fundy group a lot faster than someone would insult me here.

I'd hate to see the category divided into Atheist and Christian, for no other reason than it would further widen the gap between us.
And yes, I did say "us." Because the bottom line is that we are all people -- not "you people" or "those people" or even, "the people who agree with me."
We're just people in this world together, trying to make sense out of it the best way we know how. Anything else is only an adjective tacked onto the noun.

If there were such a thing, few on here could qualify to use it since the category would require a moderator instead of a machine.
Those trying to get in would have their own beliefs and many are incorrect.
And then after all the disappointments, you would still have the demons to put up with.

I understand your frustration, but hope this is just a thought exercise for the people who need to see it most rather than a serious post. I like that we all have the opportunity to learn from each other, even if what we learn is that some people (and I don't mean just Christians, or all Christians) can be terribly narrow-minded.

I'm glad that it is one catagory cuz I can learn alot about other religions... those who 'spew' 'YOU PEOPLE' may have been raised as 'seperatists' who think they are superior and the rest are inferior. It is very sad indeed.... they should probably check their faith, as it is not showing that they follow Jesus....

Sean, they are faux Christians, even if they don't think so. Real Christians don't behave that way. Real Christians try hard not to forget the basic principles of respecting other people, regardless of who they are or what they've done. Ignore people that behave that way to you.
The biggest problem Christianity has right now is that about 90% of people who claim to be Christians don't really even have a clue what it means to be one. They are a pox on the real ones.

Sorry if I've ever done that. I'm a Christian, and sometimes the questions on here make me mad, because there are non-Christians who are just making jokes about my faith.
