I messed around with this guy I used to have a crush on yesterday and he left me the biggest hickey on the front of my neck. I noticed what he was doing and made him stop but it was too late the damage was done. He's not a child he's like 30 years old. Why did he do this? Should I ask him? We aren't dating or anything.

I believe some people don't realize they are putting that much pressure on the neck when kissing as they get caught up in passion OR it is a territorial thing, a natural primal instinct to make sure other men suitors stay away, by leaving his mark.

I think hickeys are disgusting! It is a form of marking territory such as "so and so was here".

He's old enough to know better but he must not be very mature. I wouldn't get near him again if he is going to disrespect you like that.

Why did you let him do it? You could have stopped him sooner. You could have told him up front not to do it before things got started. If you aren't dating, why did you let him get that intimate with you?
