Traditional Jews stay Kosher (no non-scaled water creatures, animals with cloven feet, etc) all the time. Catholics, on the other hand, need only abstain from land animal meat on the Fridays of Lent.

Edit: Oh, and holdiays? Catholicism (believing itself to be the spiritual succcessor to Judaism) has some Jewish feasts (like Pentacost, although it is celebrated for a different reason). Catholicism is similar to ancient Judaism in that they worship God through sacrifice (the Catholic Mass, Jews and the ancient Temple, etc.)

Not all Jews and Catholics celebrate their feasts and holidays. Yes I can tell. I'm Catholic and know why my Christmas tree and lights stay up until a couple weeks after Christmas.

Not necessarily. There may be and probably are those who eat Jewish foods for health reasons.
