I don't know why people keep suggesting that others use Vaseline! This product is PETROLEUM jelly! Some of the other products made from petroleum are gasoline, motor oil and diesel fuel. Would you put this stuff on your body. Yeah, Vaseline feels good, for awhile. But it also has a drying effect that you don't realize because it softens your skin and also damages your skin at the same time. Vaseline and mineral oils can have long term side effects such as premature aging of the skin.

The best product to use on your skin are oil, alcohol and petroleum free. I use the Hydrating Creme Concentrate and the Hydrating Creme Extreme (on severe cases) on my clients. It is much cheaper if you buy directly from the manufacture. You can get it on-line at beeroyaproducts.com.

Oh I am a skincare professional at a high end beauty salon.

Well, the vaseline and socks are great, but if your heels are in really bad shape it might take something more healing... I have used Bag Balm, and Neosporin... I have also heard that Vicks Vaporub will help that too... otherwise you could get some ointment from your foot dr.... mine gave me a jar of this foot cream to heal mine but it cost $20 .... that was expensive!
I do recommend the socks at night though... it really helps keep the ointment in the right areas and off your bedding! The good part is that when you rub your feet at night, it also helps your hands too... just be sure you don't leave too much on your hands, cause it ends up in your hair before morning! :)

Pumice stone. Rub it on your heels in the shower. Basically, it's like sandpaper for your tough skin. Works well. Can purchase in most foot care sections at stores.

Put vaseline on your heels constantly and then wear socks at night. Don't walk on floor or carpet without slippers or socks.

I have that too

my massage therapist (not my best one) suggested soaking in epsom salt, then put some sesame oil on it, then vaseline

I haven't tried it yet, I think that would work though.
