i rip the first half off slow because it is usually STUCK to my skin like a leech, and then rip it off the rest of the way...

Rip it off fast. Slow is pure torture, especially if on the arm or leg, where you are ripping hair off also. The faster the better :-)

Run the band-aided area under warm water and apply soap. This will loosen the adhesive and the band-aid will fall off. There should be NO pain.
