Besides VOB files is there any other format most standalone dvd players support?

Vob is the one that plays the easiest. Some Dvd Players will play Mpeg4 or DivX, but not all. Some will even play AVI. Vob is the best choice.

Oppo will do Divx Xvid, others will too, it makes things easy when you burn things
