azzaro is the name of a perfume...but that's all it is, it's a proper name and it doesn't mean anything other than that

I checked the Italian dictionary but I could not find any word. I know the meaning of azzardo. Azzardo in Italian means Hazard.

I think it's just a name.
Can't find it in the dictionary, yet 'azzaro' is all over the net.

hi, I'm italian. Azzarro is a surname and the name of a very famous perfume as well, but as a word it has really no meaning.

It's a place name, should check my Zingarelli Minore & see....

Not listed, it may be a dialect version of the word for "hazard." They have dozens of dialects over there, and a lot of people take their names after towns that don't even have a meaning in standard Italian anymore due to dialects changing or dying.

I'm Italian and I've never heard this word. It could be a surname or a name of a town. Maybe you mispelled it and that could have been:
azzardo=hazard
azzero (from the verb "azzerare")=I reset (timewatch)
azzurro=light blue

According to wordreference.com (see question thread below) it doesn't exist in Italian. It's probably a name.

Or, somebody else just mentioned that it may be "arazzo," which means tapestry.
