(God speaking) I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing, I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who curse you and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
This blessing was fulfilled in Jesus Christ who in Luke 3:23 can be traced back through Abraham all the way back to God.

There were many.
In Gen 12:1 the first 7 are listed, but there were many more.
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." 4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him

Hello. I appreciate your honesty... it's refreshing! God promised to give Abraham SEED, a son who'd be named Isaac (meaning basically laughter) by which he'd bless all the world. Isaac was and is the ONLY SEED counted for the promise, and Hagar's son was not to receive the blessing along with Ishmael. It's simply the truth... those not liking it need to speak with God! God would give Abraham, a man and husband who did not have any children (especially boys) to carry his name on, a SON who would be the RIGHTEOUS SEED by which Jesus Christ the Messiah would come into the world! By this God would give Abraham seed as countless as the sand (which speaks of the Jews/Israeli's) and then seed also as countless as the stars in the sky (wich speaks of those born of God via being spiritually reborn and set apart unto God! God imparted a covenant for which Abraham would hold via Isaac (and the decendents) to hold for Jesus of Nazareth. God has fulfilled His promise, and those who've accepted Jesus are joint heirs with God and are the true spiritual sons of Abraham... we are blessed with "Faithful Abraham" as the scriptures say. You are invited to become a son of God also and be a son of Abraham. Hope this helps.

God made a covenant with Abraham saying through him, Abraham, the seed of promise would come; Abraham’s seed through Isaac would number many, uncountable to man at that time; all families of the earth would bless themselves by means of the seed (Genesis 22:17,18) . Jesus later came through the line of that seed and it is through him that everyone on earth can be blessed.

To give all the promised land to Abraham & his seed from Issacc. Since you are too lazy to decipher in looking in the bible, you may also be in reading this answer.

that God would bless him with many children. That Abraham would be the father of a great nation, thru the son that he would have with Sarah.

Abraham was a believer in God so to test him, god has aked him to sacrifice his son ismail (to cut his neck with a knife)
of course God wouldnt allow him to kill his innocent son, so god sent instead of his son , a sheep to be cut.
thats why muslim sacrifice in "Adha " a sheep & give its meat to poor people.
