A little part of my pinky toe nail is starting to turn a grayish color, almost black looking. I already know about the fungus possibility, but could it be another sign of any other medical problems? Diabetes? Anything?

changes in nails could also be signs of many factors. Nutrition, thyroid changes, infection (fungal). Is the brown patch at the tip, cuticle, or on the edge?? Also, it could be a small bruise under the nail bed (although that is more common on the big toe). Finally, it could also be a mole that has formed under the nail -- these are worrysome.

tea tree oil applied to the pinky toe and nails is great.. the 100% pure tea tree from herb stores is best..you can use cotton swabs,or ear swabs to put it on..
