I recently turned 22, but I look and feel constantly tired. The area under my eyes are a bit puffy and look quite dark. I don't drink booze, tend to be in bed before 1am at the weekend and half 10 during the week, I eat a very balanced diet and exercise frequently but have to be up at half 5 to get into work. I had 7 hours sleep last night and feel shattered today, but had about 4 hours on sunday night and felt great yesterday. Im not sure what to do to alleviate my tiredness and dark eyes. Any thoughts?

Try and get a few early early nights where possible during the week-sounds like you're a bit like me in as much as a late night hits you the day after the day after, if you follow me.

As regards the dark circles, my guess is that you're either a coffee, tea or coke drinker and the caffeine in your system needs to be reduced-even if you only have a few a day drink water instead and see the difference in 48hrs.

For puffy eyes I recommend cucumber(on the eyes)-because that way you haven't got the temptation of making a brew to get the tea bags which also work.

Hope it helps.

I have bags under my eyes. Mine are caused by not drinking enough water as im healthy and have a regular sleeping pattern. I also use an under eye cream (which is a bit girly so I dont know if you would want to use that). Some people put cold cucumber on there eyes to get rid of the bags. When im really tired I have lots of drinks and food to pep up my energy levels (healthy foods). If im nearly falling asleep tired but am in a place where i cant slip I will cover one of my eyes for a few minutes then swap to the other one (I usually do this at work while on the computer so it just looks like im leaning) This seems to work as a quick fix but doesnt last very long. Try and get a more regular sleeping pattern. Good Luck

You need to have a regular sleep patern, have the same amount of sleep everynight, go to bed at the same time (maybe not at wkends) but as often as possible. If its having a major effect on you, see your dr as you could be anaemic, or maybe have a thyroid problem. As for the dark circles under your eyes try cold strained tea bags, they really work!! Also if you have bags under your eyes try pile cream (anusol or similar) as it reduces the swelling!

are you drinking enough water? make sure you are keeping hydrated. get into a regular sleeping pattern. other than that i would suggest using the green coloured concealer that you can buy but as you are a guy that might not be the best suggestion in the world! maybe get yourself some eye moisturiser?

It sounds gross, but Preparation H under your eyes works wonders...

Maybe your quality of sleep isn't as good as it should be...

Maybe try a white noise machine in your bedroom, a humidifier, darker curtains, new mattress pad... anything to help your sleep become more restful.

Good Luck!

moisturizing always helps. Get more sleep if you can. There are also various creams that help somewhat. Visit your drugstore and ask someone at the beauty counter.
