No.

The scientific data supporting global warming is huge.

Here's the best summary of the data:

http://www.ipcc.ch/SPM2feb07.pdf

Because of the data, the vast majority of scientists believe global warming is real, mostly caused by us, and a serious problem. Proof:

Because of the data the following is true:

"the question of global warming was settled years ago for all but a few holdouts in the scientific community"

Global warming deniers have glib arguments. But this is science. You can't decide about the truth by what argument sounds good to you. You have to look at the data. That's what the climatologists do. And the data clearly says it's a real change, it's significant, and it's (mostly) caused by us. More info here:

Global warming is very real, whether or not it's a threat has yet to be seen.

I think the people who talk about taxing carbon, and carbon offsets, and various reduction treaties that actually have no affect, are indeed scams. These are being used a means to political power and a cheap dodge to make money.

If I ever wanted something to be a scam - global warming is at the top of the list. But there is too much evidence for even people like me, and presumably you, who aren't experts or part of a part of some special interest group, can understand.

Why do people keep asking this? NO, it's not a scam. It's clear there is disagreement on whether it's just a natural process or if we are contributing to it. Well here's the SOLUTION: assume it's happening, and try not to worsen it, try to help by doing tiny little things like using less energy and less water, like not buying food in plastic or foam containers, cutting less trees, eating organic (if you can)...demanding your government to do something (like signing Kyoto)!!!
Really, just consider this: do you care if lots of species cease to exist? Do you care if at the end of your life Earth is not as alive as it used to be? Do you care if little kids (or their children) can't live as well as you did? Do you care about the struggles over water that are already happening and that will soon become wars? Can you imagine water being a difficult thing to have?

Question: How can anyone, even the most brilliant and honest and aboveboard scientests in the history of the world, make claims and assumptions about the history of climates, weather patterns and temperatures in the remote past when accurate information is available for (relatively) only a handful of years?

It AINT a scam. Global warming is indeed happening around us; scientists have discovered a breach in the ozone layer near antartica.

I don't think so but there are some groups which don't want to give up cheap (direct costs not counting indirect costs) energy and want to pollute the planet using some specious arguments against global warming statistics and scientific evidence.

Not likely, in the past five years more of the Earths permifrost (areas where the ground is normally perminently frozen) has thawed then since before the ice age. Not to mention Rhode Island size glaciers breaking off and melting or Alaskan island dissappearing under water.

The greatest scientific swindle of all time.

haha, Why would multiple national congregations of scientists fake everybody?
Do you think every scientist has lost ethics and the basic foundations of the scientific theory?
