why should anyone surrender to allah or any damn god?

i will not sell my soul or surrender to any god or religion let alone allah and islam. i use my mind, reason and knowledge to walk the journey that i call life
why dont you all friends here do the same ?
dont you know that the idea of god and religion was invented to scare people, control them and dont let them think for themselves?

I will submit to Allah and still use my mind, reason and knowledge to walk my own journey of life.
I won't force people to walk the same path that I'm taking.

I am a Catholic Christian, not because I am scared, controlled, and non-thinking.

I studied all faiths for over 20 years before becoming Catholic.

I also use my mind, reason, and knowledge to walk through the journey, I just also have the help of God and the Holy Spirit to guide me.

One has to surrender to either allah (God), if not to something else just as you are surrendering to your ideas popping up in your mind. One cannot avoid surrendering.

Surrender to allah (God), brings protection, peace and happiness. Whereas surrendering to something else brings anxiety, unhappiness due to not having a permanent shelter.
