Said 'option button 1 = class A', 'option button 2 = class B' and in the drop down list content the name list of 'class A' and 'class B', when i click on either option button 1 or 2, i wish to see the name list of either 'Class A' or 'Class B' only.
how can i achieve that? please advise.

Well is quite easy, but depends on how much you know in excel. I will try to explain it as simple as possible.
First, have on column A class A items, then on column B Class b Objects then on on column c you put in cell C1 a formula like this =if($D$1=1,A1,if($D$2=2,B1,0)) and copy this formula all the way down, to make sure you are covering columns A and B. Then go to view/toolbars/forms then you have a new toolbar with option buttons, and drop down cells. so click on the option button, and place it some where on the page, then do again the same, so you have 2 option buttons. Then right click on one of them, and go to the control tab, and choose at the linked cell, cell D1. Now when you will click one of the options will show number 1 in cell D1 and the other option button if you will click it will show number 2 incell D1 also in the same time in the column C you should see lists changing. now in the cell where you want to have the drop down, you have to options, the simple one, is go on the same toolbar from where you got the options button and select Combo box and place it where you want on the page, then right click on it, and go to control tab, and at the range select the column C. or you can go to Data/Validation and in the first cell choose List, and then at the range choose again the list i column C.
have fun
