It's not. It's another word for messiah, which is a title. Messiah, in turn, is a Jewish word and concept that refers to a great HUMAN BEING (not a demi-god) like King David, who is expected to be a leader who rebuilds the temple. Jesus was Jesus of Nazareth.

Greek form Messias is a transliteration of the Hebrew, Messiah, 'the anointed'

To be sure Christ is a title. Either way,why with the advantage of such historical and glorious hindsight do some still ignore his message?

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.

Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!
