Found a lump behind my ear a year ago, doc said come back if it changes. It stayed the same but over the last 2 weeks has almost doubled in size. Waiting for a referral apt to ENT but am really anxious. Lump's not sore and there is only 1.

Here's the deal, the chances are very small and it's more likely something quite simple that's going to either go away on it's own or need a small amount of treatment.
The Cancer bandwagon is very easy to jump onto, there are many many diffrent types and i will be very surprised if you have it.
I had Cancer 2 years ago, the tumour was the size of a grapefruit on my kidney and i had an operation, spent a few months watching day time tv and now i'm 100% OK.
So all i'm saying is, if by the slightest possibility you did have it, you will be fine and well as soon as it's dealt with just like me.

being human we find a lump or a lump changes and we have cancer me included however there are so many causes of swellings cysts boils ganglions ingrowing hairs and carbuncles to name a few i myselff worry for england so i know how you must be feeling and my heart goes out to you and as i always say there are many people walking around like time bombs and just drop you are doing omething about it so whatever the scenario the prognosis is good very best of luck to you hope its just nothing

ALL lumps should be investigated.
Don't take NO for an answer and ring your ENT dept for an emergency appointment telling them you have a lump.

Sounds like a Cyst on the Perotid Gland.
I had one several years ago. Had a long and complicated operation. It's ok now.

I'm sure you will be fine, try not to get so stressed. This lump could be a variety of things, including a cyst etc.

it could just be a lump. never expect the worse i had one at the back of my head and it kept getting bigger but it was nothing but they removed it as it was sore and i have a little sore point that's all so just don't expect the worse and good luck!

I dont think u have cancer, it could be a cyst of some kind.... Better see ur doctor.. u can never get accurate answers on Yahoo answers..... Go to a clinic..

Try not to worry about it until you get it checked out. I know that's easier said then done! But at least you've done something about it. Could be nothing. Good luck
