It all depends on the person. I was with someone for 2yrs. And I broke up with him and the literally the next month I was with someone else. But I was with someone for 10mths, and it has taken me 2yrs to actually feel like I want to get involved with someone seriously. I think sometimes I tend to get involvded in relantionships so that I can forget about the one I was just in especially if I really loved the person. So for me I just jump into relantionships so that I can forget about the person really quickly. Doesn't always work though!!.

I'm ready to date as soon as I get out of the relationship. It makes it easier to forget about the other person and all the compliments make u feel like u can find a good man again.

That is entirely up to you & you alone. It is when you wake up one morning & realize you are happy with not being with the one person you were with for so long. When you do not think about them anymore & you can listen to that love song you two shared together & not care. That is when you are offically moved on. Plus, start with dates that you know won't last. Ask a girl out that you know will say yes, but you know won't lead to anything. Then afterwards, see how you feel & go from there.
Good luck.

It depends on a lot of factors, how long of a relationship it was, how serious you two were, if you were living together, etc. I was with my boyfriend for 1 and a half years and he broke up with me and it was 3 months before I dated anyone again. And low and behold my next boyfriend was 'the one', as we are now getting engaged. Good luck!

depends on how close u were. my last bf and i went out for 2 years and then we broke up...it took a long time to get over it but whats funny is that talking to him acutally made it better. we are best friends again and i started 'looking' again like...3-4 months later. so i guess about 2-8 months depending on what kinda of person the girl is cause i get over stuff quickly...and i have him as a best friend again...that and i never see him. so it depends on the girl
hope this helps

After I ended a seven year relationship, it took about 5 months for me to really feel like I was ready to date someone new. You have to give yourself plenty of time, or else it feels awkward.

it could be tomorow or even next year. sometimes coming out of a long term relationship you're more likely to start datin straight away because ur on the rebound..

Whenever I am ready. It's not like baking a cake, you don't have a certain time, then you go back out. It's whenever you are emotionally ready.

It's different for everyone. Sometimes you are ready to move on sooner than other times.
