She is certainly brave for speaking up against sections of a culture that has been oppressive towards women. However she has confused Muslim behaviour (mostly male chauvinists) with Islam. The two are not one and the same. Unfortunately, she does not have a good understanding of Islam and many quotes she uses from the Qur’an are taken out of context and are extremist views.

She was proven to have lied about her background to get in to the Netherlands, as a result she had to forgo her Dutch nationality and leave the country. She also used the anti-Islam feeling in the country to further her own political agenda by bashing Islam to gain popularity (perhaps you're trying to borrow a page from her book). Her political antics brought down the previous Dutch government as it was stuck with the fallout of stripping her of her nationality. So i don't think very highly of her.

Islam-bashing is very popular these days and those that do it get all the media attention. Muslims do not have a voice that can be heard or is purposely ignored. Doesn't say much for global media as it only increases the feeling of hostility and bias that Muslims feel.

Yeah rite...! wait till she's dead, she will very much regret what she had done!

There is no such thing as Islam oppressing woman. If she bother to read the Quran, an understand it she will realised that women have almost equal rite to men. And the freaking oppression she mentioned comes from her own culture and tradition. Why don she bash her own culture than, because religion and her freaking culture is 2 different things...!

She is a freaking lier, and how do ppl like you look up onher..patethic..!

It's her life and opinion. That is what I think as a Muslim. There is no compulsion in Islam. If she decides not to embrace Islam anymore then what can we do about it? We can't force her to believe.
