My boyfriend and I just started dating recently. He's awesome and we really "click" well. The issue is that he works almost 70 hours a week. He never wants to hang out during the week which sucks but I can understand, the problem is he wont even really talk to me during the week either ( phone,e-mail,txt...) The only time I hear from him is when i text or call him first. But,then on the weekend he's great and brings me out everyday and we have a great time. Well, its just starting to annoy me. I deserve a total relationship not just one on the weekend ( even if that involves just a a few phone calls or a late night coffee date during the week. Should I tell him that " I expect more communication during the week" ?? Thanks for any Help.

I strongly suggest you tell him how you feel ( in fewer and nicer words) guys give in to that easily

I don't think you realize how many hours that is really. Think commute time as well then supper and shower. Even if he has an easy job it's exausting! I've been alternating between 72 and 84 hours a week for going on 5 years now and at the end of the day I don't want to see a phone or even talk most of the time just veg and sleep. You need to be more understanding. At least he gives you time when he has it. let him know how you feel but use tact. Maybe he can step up a bit; but be prepared. It's a little early to be making requests.

I can understand where you are coming from but remember the guy puts in 70 hours a week. He is probably tired when he gets home and just wants to relax and go to bed early. Although I agree with you though about hearing from him during the week. It would not take much for him to touch base with you on the phone even if it was to let you know how he is or just to say hi and goodnight. It is great though that he devotes his weekends to you. Obviously he likes being with you. Why don't you just talk to him about it? Don't be demanding but just ask him if that would be possible for him to do. Tell him you would like to know how his day has been and that you would like hearing from him.

I believe the reason is because he's tired after working all of those hours so after he gets off work he doesn't want to bother you because he thinks you are sleep. You should still let him know how u feel so that this problem could be solved. He will probably tell you what the prob is if you just ask.

Good luck

just be more understanding. he is working hard, and although that does mean he will be tired adn not so eagar to talk during the week...it sounds like the weekends are worth the wait. u will just have to accept that and try not to let it bother u. but talk to deffinately and tell him that u miss him during the week and that u would like to talk to him more. if he says its not possible be cool with it and just keep the weekend thing going. dont let something this small mess up the relationship
hope this helps

he shouldn't have to hangout with you during the week if he is always working but it would be nice if he called you every now and then. You should tell him how you feel.
