I have a friend who has gone almost 4 months without her period. she's 16 years old. Is there something wrong with her or is it just that it hasn't even'd out yet?

could just be stress... my GF from time to time has this problem... when she isnt eating or sleeping right.. has a heavy work load... or is very stress'd..

I generally make her a nice hot bath... feed her some nice white wine... give her a very long rub down and try to do all the work around the house I can.. after a few days everything is fine...
but... this is a 16 year old... I would not suggest the wine...
and still you may want to see a doctor...

If she has not had a period in 4 mths it is possible she is pregnant. If she takes a test and it comes out negative there may be something wrong with her and she should have a pap test.If she doesnt want to tell her parents there may be a Planned Parenthood Agency in your area that will do all that for minors confidentially without needing parents consent. You can pay by giving donations. For example if all she has is $5.00 then thats what she will pay.She can also get birthcontrol and condoms too.

It could be a number of things causing her period to be missing in action. Stress, weight gain or loss, medications, pregnancy, ect. If she is worried she should go to a doctor and find out what is wrong. Most likely though because of her age it may just be her not evened out yet, but that also depends on how long she has actually had a period.

Yea it could be that she hasnt evend out yet, but 16 is pretty old to not be on a regular period. Maybe she should go to a doctor and get it checked out.

Her parents should take her to her family doctor to make sure everything is fine.

When she's older she may want to have some testing done.
