HELP! I need someone to turn to because I need answers to my questions. Could you please answer me the following...Is it bad to wash your hair every two days to keep it fresh? Do you need to use shampoo and conditioner when you wash your hair or can you use just one? Can you get the same kind of shampoo and conditioner like they use at the hairdressers or is it impossible to buy? If you can, how much would it be? Is there something out there for cheaper that'll have the same affect?

Washing your hair every two days is just perfect. You need to use a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair – is it oily (lank and greasy), dry (frizzy and brittle), colour-treated, dandruff prone? These are all questions that you need to answer to find the perfect shampoo. You definitely need to use both a shampoo and a conditioner every time you wash. Shampoo will cleanse the hair of product build up and general everyday grime, while conditioner will smooth the hair cuticle and make your hair silkier and easier to comb through. You can buy salon products directly from any hairdresser but they are a lot more expensive than the supermarket brands – you’ll pay upwards of $20 at a salon, while you can get non-professional ranges from around . You don’t have to use a shampoo and conditioner from the same range but can if you like. For a good range at a good price try Pantene or Sunsilk in your local supermarket.

Ok! Calm down!

Alright, I'd say, go and get your hair washed daily! What do you do when you wash your hair? You are removing built up dead skin, parasites, dirt, ect! This should be removed daily! you really want stuff up there if you have the power to get rid of it

Shampoo is basically what grabs all of those things and forces it out of the hair! But, it can do it a bit harsh, that is wherer conditioner comes in to help restore needed nutrients to the hair to keep it smooth, glossy, and healthy!

You can get shampoos and conditioners that they use in salons! I'd sugest going up to the hairdresser and straight asking here where you can buy the stuff she's been using on you! I've had several people I know and the hair dressers gave them this exclusive catelog and now they have perfect hair almost everyday! If bought at the bulk, it is less expensive!

There usually is something out there that is cheaper, all you can do is shop around and find out what works best for your hair! Simple as that!

First of all- washing your hair every 2 days actually keeps it from drying out so no..that is not bad - it keeps the natural oils of your hair fresh...Second using a hairdressers shampoo is good but expensive and they usually sell it where you get your hair done (or would order it for you).
If you use a shampoo geared toward your hair type (oily, dry, normal, etc.) and a conditioner it helps the sheen. Two points to help your hair: change your shampoo once in a while it refreshes your hair..and on the first day you wash your hair don't use styling products or a blow dryer so there's no chemical buildup .. the 2nd day you can use styling products because very shortly you will wash them out. When you rinse your hair if you use rain water or beer once a month it also helps!

Ideally, you shouldn't wash your hair more than twice a week. That being said, if you have oily hair, you'll have to wash it more often. I shampoo my hair every other day and just condition it on the day off because it's curly and I want to cut down on frizz. When you shampoo your hair excessively, it strips it of its natural oils.

The shampoos the hairdressers use are available for sale in the salons or at places like Sally's beauty or Trade Secret. You can even buy some of them at Target. They are more expensive. You can usually get by with less expensive alternatives like Pantene or SunSilk. I also like the Marc Anthony like available at Eckerd or CVS. That's mid price range at $7-$8 dollars each. For my dry hair, I love to use Nexus Humectrix as a leave in conditioner, but that's about $17 dollars a bottle.

Hope this helps.

It is not the shampoo or conditioner that is damaging your hair. It is not the amount of times you wash your hair as well. The real problem is the chlorine that is in the water. Every time you wash your hair, you are putting more chlorine on your hair which will make your hair turn white and cause your hair to fall out. If you want better looking hair, just buy a water filter or shower filter. You could buy one online. For your convenience, I have provided a site below if you couldn't find one. Any problem, just email me. Hope that I'm able to help you.

Sometimes the quality of water you have available has a great affect on your hair. First, find a shampoo that seems to rinse clean after you lather and shampoo. Your hair rinse clear. If you haven't had good luck with conditioners possibly try a small amount of leave in conditioner. Always be gentle removing tangles as to not break your hair
Your products do not have to be expensive to work well

No, it's not bad to wash your hair even every day. You need shampoo and conditioner (not 2 in 1 products) .One hair has got things called cuticles .Shampoo opens the cuticles and let the dirt come out (it feels like a fish scale ) that's why your hair feels coarse and tangles easily when you just use shampoo. Conditioner close the cuticle parts of your hair and makes it feel soft ,silky and shiny. Can buy hair products from any hair salon........but you can also get good products in supermarkets like Redken ,Loreal and Paul Mitchell (depending on the country).

ohh yaa its absolutely necessary to wash ur hair every two days becoz its imp to wash off all the dust and grime that gets accumulated on ur hair..its similar that u have a bath every day so its imp to wash ur hair every 2 days too.... its necessary to use a shampoo every time and tats too obvious but dont use a conditioner every time u wash ur hair if u have to wash it frequently.... if u have ultra silky hair use it once a week ..... if u have rough hair then use it twice .... it wouldnt do much good to ur hair if u use it more than that and always remember that apply the conditioner only to ur hair and dont let it eeven touch ur roots as that results in hairfall. as far as the conditioners and shampoos at the salons is concerned then loreal is the best and used by most of the parlours... u can get them at any superstore ... select accordin to ur hair type if u want u can also go in for mrs. marino hair softener and pantene creme conditioners... they wont cost u more than rs. 200 per bottle of shampoo/conditioner... and for that extra shine use serums... dont use it all the time only when u want ur hair to look spcl... and for cheaper options u can chk out products of garnier and they are also very good.... tony and guy is also a good option but tats expensive...best of luck ...for any further queries u can mail me.. and i ll be grateful to help

It's actually BETTER to not wash your hair daily, it takes away the natural oils, if you do. I wash my hair ever 4 days or so, or try to anyways. Depending on your hair type is when you should use conditioner, I don't use cond. because it makes my hair too soft and weighed down. You CAN buy the stuff the hairdresser uses, just ask them, they usually sell it in the store. :)

No that's the recommended time- more, and you're hair may become brittle and dry, less, and you may clog your hair pores. As for shampoo and conditioner, I'd highly recommend deep conditioning your hair at least twice a week. Try Neutrogena's deep conditioner (comes in a little orange tub).
