My screen display always reverts back to show just "antenna", I can change channels fine and my signal strength is good.
I even tried other antenna to rule out that problem.
Anybody got any ideas as to what is causing this?

My screen display always reverts back to show just "antenna", I can change channels fine and my signal strength (SAT & Terr) are almost full bars.
I even tried another antenna (it's all inside the vehicle, no trunk crimps).
It's an Audiovox device.
Got some good answers (thanks).
Any ideas where I can take it in to have it checked out (I live in Cleveland, Ohio)?

When it says "antenna" it means that it's not detecting a connected antenna. If you've already tried a new antenna, the most likely problem is the antenna connection in the docking unit or on the tuner itself.

it is the unit it happend a lot with the pioneers and terks, unit needs to be replace or repair inside the antenna there is two antennas and the xm tunner receives two signals satellite and terrest signals the receiver is not getting the normal signal only sat signal that is why uoi get this error
it can also be antenna cable

Since you obviously already swapped antennas, it can only be one thing, the unit. Either swap it out or get a different one. Sometimes the antennas will work with different units too, just depends on which unit you have now, and which unit you will get to replace it with.

There might be a short in the antenna check were you trunk closes
