Yes humans are perfect, it is our understanding of that perfection that is imperfect. All God is love, and all is for reason, it is our humanity that shackles us with a ridiculous concept of evil which doesn't even exist.

Cognitive error in assuming anything made by a perfect being is perfect. If the materials the perfect being has to work with are imperfect the the creation will be limited.
I think life is a work in progress. The dinosaurs were created then destroyed.Something about them must have been displeasing to their Creator and they became a work discarded after a few hundred million years-plenty of time to reveal themselves as a creation.Bloodthirsty, stupid and foul creatures.
Mammals evolved next in creation and man appeared- able to conceive of a higher power and theism.,and capable of understanding the nature of the world around himself.
Now man has revealed himself to be violent, and dangerous to the world environment itself, and like the dinosaurs is potentially in danger of extinction, created by his own hand.
So man could easily lose the favor of the Creator and make way for another variety of life.So based on that scenario, if man is not good enough to meet the Creator's judgement , he will be eliminated. That would make man far from perfect, not only imperfect, but an abomination, like the ancient monsters.
I suppose the lesson in this diatribe is this:
If one believes in a higher power that judges, one can only try to follow codes of moral behavior that are moderate and not
crude and blatently offensive or cruel, if one has any concern about future retribution at all. That would be part of "perfection"
on the part of man.

I disagree with you. Just because something is created by a perfect being does not mean that it shall be perfect. Humans aren't perfect, and the world isn't perfect. Though we WOULD HAVE BEEN up there with God in the garden being worshipped by myriads of angels if only that possessed snake didn't talk to Eve "hey, try this here fruit! it's mighty tasty!" and she HAD to say "why thank you Mr. Mysterious Talking Serpent!" and.................yyyyeah. There are always outside forces that can cause creations of a perfect being to go wrong. In this case, it was the serpent, taken by Satan, who wished to take revenge on God for kicking him and his dark angel minions out of heaven. There was even war in heaven, and wherever there is war, I believe that it is a sign that that place is not perfect. Humans were meant to be perfect, created like gods under our God. But for the sin we had committed, we no longer deserve to see that light ever again.

Human being are perfect in the sense of God creating us, but because of Adam and Eve disobedient all humans were born in sin - when a child is born you don't teach him/her how to lie it's in their nature - sin cause one to kill, steal, lie, do drugs, use witchcraft and the list goes on and on....so, therefore humans are not perfect. But God love us so much that He sent his son "Jesus" to reconcile us back to him by the way of the cross. So, eveyone that believe and had acknowledge Jesus as Lord, repented of their sins and accepted Christ into their hearts is a Christian. Now, it doesn't make us perfect but we're striving to perfection thru Christ Jesus - his word which in the bible helps us to live for him.

When they are born yeah... After that, well, free will pal, we all like to eat shait now and then.... Therefore we end up quite messed up beings far from perfection... But it is still our choice if we´d return to perfection or not, Yet I´m an atheist.

P.S. Dirty deeds feel good, everybody knows that.

When perfection becomes a definition, imperfection also comes into existence. Religions and god are created by people and a god who is all powerful and all benevolent does not exist.

If we were capable of sinning, we were not perfect. A perfect being can do no wrong. God can do no wrong, and he's perfect, so how can we?
