Oh, come on! You know that there is no single ONE thing that women want. We're human, so if you offer a finger, we take the hand! This question is like asking a girl whether she'd prefer a necklace or a bracelet...we want both!
Either way, seriously...to answer your question...once the girls get over their initial craziness of being in love with every guy that has a pretty face but treats them like crap...at that point they start realizing that RELIABILITY is one of the major things they are looking for. You know how you sometimes see real pretty girls (or women that were probably hotties back in the day) with real nasty men and you wonder how that could be...well, it's because girls date bad boys but marry the good guys. And no matter how unattractive guys might be, if they are reliable they won 70% of the battle.
So I guess reliability would be the one thing you are asking about. However reliability is an umbrella term and covers the following:
-the guy will not run around after other girls,
-the guy is trustworthy and honest,
-the guy will be a good father,
-the guy will offer some sort of financial security (I don't mean in a gold digger kind of way),
-the guy offers emotional support,
-the guy is there when she needs him etc.
Aside from that, women consider whether the guy appreciates her and treats her the way she deserves to be treated, and whether he respects her and accepts her for who she is. Girls are basically looking for a routine and stability in life and being able to rely on your loved one is a great step towards it.

Communication!!! Communication is the key to any happy relationship. If more people learned how to talk with each other about their feelings, desires and everyday life then we'd all be happier. A "hot" looking guy with tons of money, and a large @#$%.
I've seen women allow themselves to get abused repeatedly as long as they had this "hot" guy with money!
But then women downgrade men who treat them bad and don't avoid it.
Guys that don't match that criteria are snubbed by attractive women who expect high standards.

To be "loved " . For her man to tell her He love her. For a man to be there for her , for a man to lat her meet there family, for a man to understand her as a person that has needs.To be 1st. after God. For her man to pray with her , Go to church with her. to hold her hand and kiss her when other people are around. Just to LOVE her.
