It's like the difference between a one night stand and a long term relationship. You wouldn't want to get married to a skank but you'd do her.

I looked at the answrs to this question before I put in my opinion. Depending on the lifestyles of the guy and girl determines how to dress. When a guy and girl are committed to one another, the both of them will dress appropriately as not to embarass each other. If the girl or guy dresses inappropriately, that tells me that one or the other doesn't care what is thought about the appearance.
Sometimes a woman companion will ask opinions of others within the household, before meeting her male friend. And vice versa.
It is not how one wants the other to dress. That should be done automatically.
Would I like to see my fiancee to dress skimply in public? Of course not. If she did, I would question her about it. Anyway, knowing the kind of lady she is, she wouldn't even think of doing something like that.

Guys always like to look-whether the girl is covered from neck to toe or halfdressed with most of her hangin' out. There's an old saying that goes, guys like their girls to act like a proper English-woman in the living room (public) - and like a hot French babe in the bedroom (private).
Depending on where we're going - yes I would like her to dress sexy so she can show off her bod.... Someplaces we go she dresses real conservative for and still looks great.
Regardless of how she dresses, other guys check her out anyway. I know she looks great - and she knows it too! As long as she don't do the looking or start looking back at the guys, I don't care.
We both dress for each other. I wear what she likes for me to wear and she does the same for me...

Age old double standard there I'm afraid.
a) In medieval times women were supposed to be virgins to be a christian ideal but also had to honour and obey their husband in bed.
b) In the 1860s women were put on pedstals as divine and innocent creatures - but the Contagious Diseases Acts also legalised 11 state brothels in England and gave the police to arrest any woman on the street irrespective of class or status and force her to undergo a horrendous internal examination. They could then condemn the woman as a prostitute and force her to serve a sentence rope working.
This is a real issue I have with the world. I could go on for hours!!! x

No guy wants the whole world checking out their girlfriend's bodies. That's for only their eyes. You see all men stare or gaulk at the scantily dressed girls so they know that if you dress that way other guys will do the same. You see our boyfriends love us, but lust over them for 2 seconds. We are the ones with the power.

thats a good question.. you know why a guy wont let her girl dress skimpily: its just because he's a guy and knows how other guys think when seing a very sexy girl passing, thus he doent want other guys to look at his girl..

Anyone who thinks he can "allow" me to wear anything has another think coming!!
Guys can see this two ways.
"I keep my girl all dressed so that no one but me can look at her skin! Mine!"
or
"I let my girl wear skimpy clothes so that everyone will envy that she's mine!"
Either way... if the guy is calling the shots about what the woman gets to wear, something's imbalanced in that relationship. Respect whatever your partner chooses to wear, and be proud of them.

It's all about human instincts. Guys also like to watch their girls in sexy outfits but they cannot bear that others are watching her too. But when he sees some other girl in a sexy dress he likes to watch her cause he's a guy.
It's something like this, a girl would want her guy to have a great muscular body but if he shows off his body to other girls then she would not like it. But she would defenetly look at guys with great bodies if they show off.

for sure, the lady who wears a gown that exhibits of her chest knows how she seems and if too lots of her breasts is showing. If she wears it after observing herself in a replicate, she must be attentive to that if she is showing too lots, that she would be in a position to get alot of probably undesirable stares. purely as though I guy desperate to unbutton 3 or 4 of his shirt buttons, he'd get alot of stares, too.
