It's Italian and Spanish too. In Spain exists in only one form: Eduardo. In Italy in two forms: Edoardo overall in the North, and Eduardo overall in the South. It's a Saxon derivation from the words 'ead' (property) and 'weard' (warden), so meaning 'who supervise the wealth'. The pronunciation of this name it's the same in Italian and in Spanish:
Eduàrdo (mark on 'a')
Eh-dou-àhr-doh
Eh like in 'men'
ah like in 'are'
oh like in 'saw'
