23 is a little early, but its definetly not unheard of. i've seen people as young as 16 with a few white hairs here and there.
unfortunately, there is no way to stop it, but the old wives tale that white hair is caused by stress definetly has some truth behind it.
the only way to get rid of white hair is to color it. you could do a few highlightes to blend them in, if its that noticeable, but as far as completely preventing it, thats not possible.
white hair really isn't THAT bad. nobody can really notice it until you start going all white. but if you're really that self-consious, try a semi-permanent color thats close to your natural. it'll blend them in so they're not as noticeable. try Paul Mitchell PM Shines (only at a salon, of course). its translucent (think nylons vs. tights), natural looking, conditioning, and adds a ton of shine. this would be my suggestion if you came to my salon. good luck!

This is not an odd age. Some people turn completely white at the age of 15. If you're not happy with the white, use some hair color to cover it. No, it cannot be postponed! Do Not Pull it out as more white will come in!!!

How early a person gets white hair depends on their genes. It's nothing to be worried about. When I was in my teens I had a classmate (she was 14 then) who had 80% white hair. She was healthy and intelligent.
There is no way to prevent more white hairs from appearing. The only thing you can do is try to reduce your stress levels as higher stress may cause more white hairs to develop.
The only way to cover up white hair is to dye it. However try not to dye your hair too often as dying will damage your hair.

i would advise not to pull the hair out or anything. just keep it. if you cut or pull it will grow more. many people get white hair from young ages like 13 or so! but it doesn't continue. its only like a couple of streaks or so. if you're not comfortable with it, then you can dye it.

Not really, unless your a smoker than its yours own fault or your always around someone who somkes than its their fault but if not.
when you do start to notice the white you should get highlights in your hair to makes the less noticable.
or you can be different and have white hair cuz that might be cool.you can work it.

it is genetics, you can't change it....i mean look at taylor hicks!
you can't prevent it but you can change it....you would just need to color it, white hairs don't hold hair color long so you would need to re-color it frequently.....ask your local hair care professional if there is a special shampoo you should use if you decide to frequently color it...sometimes processing it too often can damage your hair.....any more questions, just email me
