Should I get a passport, leave the U.S. and meet him?
He could be the one, or a serial killer.....

I wouldn't go to Ireland alone, he's 22 and i'm 35, I've been speaking to him online for 2 years, we would meet in London while I'm on vacation with 2 friends.

i think its way to risky for you to be leaving the United States to meet any one you met on line you don't have a clue what you may be get yourself into talk to him on line and tell him your staying home look at whats going on in the world now. i'm sure they get news in ireland he should understand and not even hint for you to leave the country. even a mild hint at it again and you need to never talk to him again it's just to risky their are horrors in the world more frightening than death good luck and be sensible.

What you should do is get your head out of your behind and return to the real world. This "boy" cannot possibly be perfect, since you know nothing whatsoever about him. Never mind about the serial killer, but he could be 50 years old and married with kids the same age as you. Don't make a fool out of yourself.

Stay where you are hun, how can he be perfect...he seems perfect, Who would look after you if things didnt work out, let him come to you, and tell people he is coming over, dont meet him alone or in private, and dont invite him to stay with you, let him stay in a hotel.
I met a guy years ago on those text flirt things, we text and called each other for months, i thought, wow he really understands me, he's perfect, we arranged to meet for an hour, he travelled all day to get to my area, when we met it was a disaster, i didnt find him attractive, he was very insecure and clingy, and........he brought an overnight bag.....assuming that he was coming back with me.....i dont think so.
Be very carefull.

Just calm down.
He is not perfect (nobody is!) - you just don't know what's wrong with him yet. Don't be in such a rush to get a passport and run to Ireland to meet him. Spend more time getting to know him, make sure he is who he says he is (the same age, marital status, etc.), and (yes!) spend time hanging out with/ dating young men in your immediate area to see how your "perfect" Irish lad measures up.
You will figure out the right thing to do if you give it a bit more time, and keep your eyes and ears open.

I'm sure you would hear about it if he was a serial killer, why are so many women scared of meeting men?
