Of course they do if you heed the lesson you learned from it.

I've learned throughout the years that had I listened to advice from "caring others" I could have avoided lots of hurt but I chose to "do it on my own" and suffered consequences.

Only if you learn from your past mistakes. Lol. You need to apply the correct solution to whatever future decision we are talking about. Some people never learn from their mistakes and they just keep making them over and over again.

It depends. In my personal situation, my Mom's sucky marital choices have been the list of "what not to do" for me. She thinks she did a horrid job, but her mistakes have shown me how stubborness and anger have no place in a marriage. So in my case, her mistakes helped me more than her. And vicariously its helping her grandkids have a more stable home.

Not everyone learns from mistakes. Its not easy to admit you were wrong and fix things, or bite your tongue and not say the hurtful words you want to. I do think though, that learning from your mistakes is something everyone should try. Learning how to control your actions, selfishness, and pride are all important. Too bad some people would rather be self destructive.

Yes, if you are wise enough to remember the consequences of your past mistakes.....to err is human, to continue the err is ignorance. Not meant in a rude way.

Yes they do in the long run. Making to many mistakes, you will Evangely stop making them cause you just get tired of making them. And you will learn.

Of course they do, if you realize they were mistakes and can see what the better choice would have been.
