I heard knowing Latin makes you sound smarter than you really are. I've heard that girls will be impressed if you can state Latin roots and stories behind common English expressions. Are there any things I can say in Latin to impress girls?

be yourself...after a while she will realize you are not as smart as she thought you were if you don't have anything to back it up...plus most people are so ignorant that yes they do get impressed by silly things like this, especially if they do not understand what you are saying so you'll see their jaws drop...again, this is only a temporary effect...Infinitus est numerus stultorum...

First, avoid refering to them as chicks, you instantly lose status like that.
Second, rather than trying to sound smarter than you really are, try learning some interesting things. That's easy to do, always have a good book on the go. My advice start with Bill Bryson's Short History of Nearly Everything, it's amazing, easy to read and pack with a wealth of fascinating facts.

The problem with trying to sound smarter than you really are is that only a really dum girl is going to be fooled by that for more than about 2 minutes, and lets face it you can impress a really dum girl by showing her something sparkly. So instead of trying to be somebody you're not, try making sure the person you are is worth knowing. I'm sure you can do that without too much trouble.
