has asked a sensible qestion on here and is asking for advice or help, that at least one arseh*le will post a completely nasty answer? I'm sure i'll get a few back now i've posted this from exactly the kind of people i'm talking about, but there are some really messed up people out there and i was just wondering why the hell they feel compelled to be complete w*nkers to total strangers?? Is it because they don't have the guts to stand up to people in real life so it makes them feel better to belittle people from the safety of their computers??

I think it's a misguided attempt to be cool. There is an age and a stage in life when some people really seem to have a need to "shock" people. I think that's where most of this comes from. Most of them, when they mature will be quite embarrassed by the things they posted. It used to be that when you did something stupid only a few people actually knew about it. Now lots and lots of people will not only read it but it'll be around for a long time.

There are people like that everywhere in life, but more online because posting here is anonymous, so many people who wouldn't dare being so rude in person do dare it on here.
But it's best to ignore these folks. Bullies always love getting reactions out of people; when people get upset, that's what they do it for. On the other hand, if everyone were to ignore them, the 'joke' would fall flat and they'd get bored... your question I'm sure has been received with whoops and cheers from the 'w*nker crowd'. Either quietly report them or don't do anything but don't post questions about them in public, it's exactly what they want, to get a rise out of people!

Don't let the bad apples ruin the whole pie. There are a lot of people on here that really do try and give the best answers they can. I don't always have the best advice to offer but sometimes I feel as if I can help. So far, I've only gotten nice responses. So, score one for the good guys and ignore the ignorant!

Lisa , There are just some nasty people about and you will get them the best thing to do is ignore , remember there is alot of young people on here that like having a bit of fun but dont think majority of them are the offensive ones ...

IMO I would say that you get just as many idiots on here as you do in real life, but because this is a concentrated area you see more of it. Keep your eyes open next time your out and about and you'll probably find just as many there as well. Saying all that I do believe that yes people will be a lot nastier on here than in real life because you won't get a smack in the mouth here like you would in the pub.

I understand your point. Some people, I am NOT one, find quick 2 pointers if they can. They don't care about helping anyone. Thank God, they're not ALL like that. I've been here since 10-6-06 and have found some really nice people. Don't lose heart...there are still NICE people in the world. Although we're strangers, and I'm not "milking the cow"--I mean what I'm saying---I hope you can tell that I'm one of those nice people I'm referring to.

Becuase not all people who ask questions are nice.
A person has asked a question about the smoking ban in england, and in the question, the person basically says that smokers are disgusting, rude, have no manners, are inconsiderate ect. That really makes my blood boil. what would happen if you susbtitute 'black people' instead of 'smokers'? It would be completely unacceptable, but since its a smoker they're taking about, its ok.
So i went on and left a nasty comment, but they asked for it by being horrible first.

Unforetunetly thwt have nothing better to do sometimes I do get a bit fed up with the am I pregnant ? questions not the genuine pleas but the I had sex yesterday and my boobs hurt today variety .But I just don't answer them some people are answering just for points not to make a point

Was going to answer your question by saying that some people confuse vulgarity with humour, having read the answers posted so far i am frankly impressed that your forthright question has silenced the people that you were complaining about. In defence of the stupid question comment i would say that if you don't like it don't answer it and also there are no stupid questions only stupid people!

I have noticed that some people are quite rude and nasty and I dont know why they are like that to be honest they must just be nasty in general, I answer all questions as if it was my friend standing in front of me and asking me.
