1) A good Kryptonite D-lock is good but expensive. Forget the cheaper stuff. I use a heavy cable with high security padlock, the Onguard Mastiff from www.wiggle.co.uk (£18). You may need two locks, a cable lock for the front and a chain for the rear.
2) & 3) See above. wiggles.co.uk can also supply all kinds of pump. Also try Decathlon if there's one in your town. You may need £30 for a Topeak pump with guage.

Firstly Cable locks are better for ease of transport and cheaper, but d locks are more secure although they can't b used on everything. Any krptonite lock will be fine although i reccommend the kryptoplus mini. Any pump over £10 should work fine however every pump will lose some air on a schrader valve and it is entirely dependant on the skill of the operator and how fast you take the pump off.

You have to buy the best lock you can afford. It's insane to buy an expensive bike and then chain it up with a two bob lock that can be broken with a car jack or cut in two with a cheap pair of pliers.
This is being sold as a twin pack so you get a D lock and coil for £31. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=cycle&ProdID=5360021020
Go to wiggle.co.uk and sort all the locks by price. You'll find something you like there.
Pump wise I would go for something small that can fit into your backpack and toolkit... Try this one http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=11402
It pumps air out on both strokes so although it's small it takes a lot less effort to use, plus it's only 12 quid so put the extra cash toward the lock.
Hope this helps

Congrats on the new bike!
A good D or U lock are the best. Well worth the money.
You can unhook the front tyre and lock it up with the rear tyre and frame to a good steady anchor (street post, etc.)
Also using two locks a good solid U or D lock and a less expensive steel flexible lock could be a good idea.
Get a pump you can also take with you in your backpack or whatever you use to carry your extras. It will aid in case of a puncture.

Go with the Kryptonite U-lock. Make sure it is the latest model....the one with orange on it. It is pricey, but it's worth it. No one will be able to steal your bike.
For the pump, I recommend a CO2 inflator. It's smaller, and it makes putting air in the tire a snap. Get a good one though. There are cheap inflators out there. Good luck.

From Central Park on right down to Lady Liberty are just a few of the crucial what to see in New York City and the rest of them you'll discover once you get here with the aid of this website Hotelbye . No one can head to New York without strolling, one or more time through Central Park. Central Park is really a really huge park with plenty of fascinating areas like: the tranquil Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the Sheep Meadow throughout summer time or the lines from Lewis Carroll's poem “Jabberwocky” inscribed across the base of the Alice in Wonderland statue

I use the Kryptonite New York Bike Chain/Lock - a bit heavy to lug around, but worth it.

Hi you can also get a bike alarm, which I feel is a good idea to go along with a able lock. The alarm is under £10 and can be found online at the address below.
