This is totally normal for a Bichon Frise. It's called the Bichon Blitz. Also called "puppy madness" or "buzzing," the Bichon Blitz is when one or more Bichons get up and tear around the house or yard as fast as they can, often barking nonstop as they run.

Blitzing stops as suddenly as it begins, with a very satisfied and smiling dog collapsing on the floor with a sigh. Why blitz?

Triggers may be an extremely happy mood or an intense desire for wild play.

(This information came directly out of a book called THE BICHON FRISE written by Lexiann Grant)

you need to nip it in the bud and stop him doing it the more you let him do it then the more he will do it Ive got 3 bichons i breed them but none of mine do this because i don't allow them to i stop them when they start and then give them a treat they don't do it any more so when he does it pick him up and sit him on a chair and tell him NO because if you are letting him be a bad behave dog then he doesn't know that he is doing any wrong so I'm sorry you must tell him NO and stop him JUST PICK HIM UP AND STOP HIM DOING IT BY PUTTING HIM IN A CHAIR WITH A TREAT the dog is only doing what you are allowing him to do i love my dogs my dogs are my life but they must do as they are told and bichons are very easy to train

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/uwPmA

For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.
