i have been gong to the gym for about 3 months occasionally slack by only going twice a week and have a pretty healthy diet as I calorie count. for the majority of the week i have under 2000 calories a day, usualy under 1500 if im not feeling down. This included lots of fruit and veg etc
My gym routine is bike, cross trainer, stepper, rower, weights, floor exercise then 30 mins swimming
I know i might be putting on muscle but i have put on 2 pounds and not lost too many inches. Its really starting to get me down

thats not a bad thing atleast you're losing the fat which will result in your body becoming very lean, well toned and sexy isn't that what you want? forget about the scale and focus on the fat you're burning

You sound like you are eating the right amount of food for the amount of activity you are doing so you will not loose weight it will stay the same.
Dont cut out the food unless you know you are over eating you need to up the excersise not occasion but regular without fail.
I hate the gym it makes me feel crap so I do mine at home invested in my own stepper £35 and do keep fit dvd 3 times a week without fail for three weeks.
Low fat diet and have lost 7 inches all over and a few pounds.
Everyone is different and perhaps you have not found what suits your body gym is not for everyone now pc gym shoot me down lol

I'm sorry that all your efforts have been in Vein. I would suggest you get hold of a book called Diet right for your type
It discusses the different blood groups . i am blood group O I should be eating plenty of meat . I cannot because I am unemployed and so after a long time have become a reluctant vegetarian. This book goes farther than just weight loss but does tell you by following the diet how you can avoid diseases pertinent to your Blood type .All in All this may be the answer to your problem if you tried so hard with ever ting else

In order to lose wt. , one must have less calories in as taken out. Eating 1200-1550 calories per day (healthy calories not empty calories), drinking minimum of 8 glasses of H20, getting 7-8 hrs of sleep nightly should help. Also there is zig zag dieting--meaning eat at the low end of calorie range for 5 days then high end for 2 days..that is how most ppl break the plateau of dieting. Just dont give up..keep your body guessing to what you are doing...if your doing the same routine for awhile..change it up..increase time, or try something new..

Twice a week is more than enough. Soon I'm sure you'll see a difference if not talk to a trainer or a doctor to see if there's something that hasn't been taken into account.
BUT no matter if you are loosing weight or not good work on getting fit!! Being healthy is most important.

Dont worry just keep at it, everyone hits plateaus in weight loss.
Sometimes changing the time of your gym visits or a small change of programme can make a difference, but as long as you keep burning more calories than you take in you will start losing weight again.

Actually, you should include weightlifting. Too much cardio will decrease your lean mass along with your resting metabolic rate.
Weightlifting will increase your lean mass and allow you to burn extra calories 24 hours per day. This is why (believe it or not) weightlifting is actually more effective than cardio.
Also, ditch the scale and use a measuring tape.

Do you really need to lose those inches? You do not mention how much you weight, or your size and height. Maybe it could be you are about the weight your body should be. Who knows?
The rest I can say has already been said by others before me.
Luck and keep exercising.

Have your thyroid checked. This regulates the metabolism and if this isnt working right then no matter what kinda program youre on... you will see almost no results. Lastly, make sure that your routine and diet is approved by a doctor.
